Medicine Wheel Garden

The Medicine Wheel Garden is located in the back half of the grounds at M’Wikwedong..  It is maintained by staff and volunteers, and the four sections have been designed to represent a medicine wheel when the various plants are in bloom.  The sections not only represent a medicine wheel in colour, but the medicines have been planted according to direction.  The Garden is used as a teaching tool for traditional herbs and medicines

Teepee, Sweat Lodge, and Sacred Fire

The teepee and sweat lodge are located in the side yard at M’Wikwedong.  As well as being used to conduct ceremonies and sacred fires, these spaces act as cultural teaching tools.  Groups of all ages have toured these structures and had talks on local Native history and traditions.
